The aim of this site ALGGEN is the development of software tools to analyse the genome ``in silico'' in colaboration with "in lab" research groups in genetics. There are plenty of web sites with plenty of programs to deal with the most common programs, as pairwise alignment or multiple alignment or ..., but sometimes this general-purpose software cannot be applyied and it is necessary to design specific programs to satisfy the research requirements.
