Multimedia Educational Tool

ALGGEN	EMBER:
Is the acronym for the Algorithmics and Genetics Group supervised by Dr. Xavier Messeguer, part of the Theoretical Computer Science Group in the Software Department (LSI) of the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC). ALGGEN is dedicated to research and teaching in the area of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics.	Is the acronym for the European Multimedia Bioinformatics Educational Resource that is a European Commission funded educational project that aims to develop a suite of multimedia bioinformatics educational tools. EMBER will provide teaching materials for undergraduate and early postgraduate studies.

• LePA: Learning Pair-wise Alignment running a Dynamic Programming algorithm. This tool was designed by Raimundo Benítez and Jose Ramón Moya and supervised by Dr. Jordi Delgado. (2002)



• LeCA: Learning Clusters Alignment running a Dynamic Programming algorithm. This tool was designed by Alexandre Alcantara. (2003)



• LePMA: Learning Progressive Multiple Alignment. This tool was designed by Antoni Serra Torres and Joan Vericat Barquet. (2004) (Mozilla 1.4, Netscape 6, Explorer 5.0)



• LeHA: Learning Hash Algorithm. This tool was designed by Alejandro Touza Paredes and Sergio López Ruiz. (2004) (Mozilla 1.4, Netscape 6, Explorer 5.0)
