FREQ Home Page

FREQ reads a file in Fasta format extracted from DNA sequences (gens, chromosomes or genomes). The aplication studies the frequency of tuples in a DNA chain. It works with a user defined tuple or with all kind of fixed length tuples.

In the first part, FREQ generates a DNA chain representation in PNG format and shows the appearances of the specified tuple (Example 1).

At the second part, FREQ generates all the possible tuples of the specified length and their frequencies. In addition, like in the first part, FREQ shows a graphical representation of the DNA chain, if required (Example 2).
